About AMMIN
AMMIN is an independent not-for-profit organization working to advance methane emissions reduction efforts across the oil and gas sector in Africa with registered offices in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and Lagos, Nigeria.
The African Methane Mitigation and Intelligence Network (AMMIN) was founded by oil and gas professionals with decades of experience across the oil & gas value chain. Our founding team has worked in some of the world’s most complex energy markets and has built an extensive network of industry leaders, policymakers, research institutions, and technology providers across the globe.
It is from this deep pool of domain expertise and global connectivity that AMMIN was born to elevate the conversation around methane emissions in Africa to amplify the conversation and catalyze measurable action.
Our Vision
We envision an African energy sector that is not only competitive on the global stage, but also compliant with the increasingly stringent environmental and climate requirements of major demand centres. Doing this ensures that Africa becomes a continent where methane emissions are measured, understood, and systematically mitigated through science, collaboration, and policy leadership, resulting in stronger economies, cleaner air, and improved public health.
